Valentine’s is nearly here, and many clients will be visiting the salon to get ready for their Valentine’s Day date nights, ensuring their hair looks its very best and is styled to perfection. Below are three of my favourite hair styling looks that have a beautiful and romantic feel and will be sure to turn heads this Valentine’s…

Braided bun – the braided bun is a great hairstyle for Valentine’s, particularly for those who love a bun style but want to amplify a classic bun for Valentine’s. Paired with some volume, this instantly gives this look added glamour. For added volume at the crown and to prep and provide heat protection, I use the Caviar Anti-Aging Multiplying Volume Styling Mist before blow-drying. Once the hair is dry, I always like to mist through some dry shampoo like My Hair. My Canvas. Another Day Dry Shampoo throughout the hair to provide extra volume and give the hair grit. I then backcomb a small section of the hair at the crown before brushing over for a smooth finish before going in to create my braid. For further softness, I leave some sections of hair out around the face, gently tousling to add texture whilst framing the face. When creating your bun, start by creating a ponytail at the back of the head and securing this into place. I then like to part this in three sections, apply some Caviar Anti-Aging Replenishing Moisture CC Cream through the sections before creating three braids in each section and pinning these into place to create your desired shape, gently pulling out some sections of the braid as you go to give the bun added texture and volume and a more effortless finish. Finish with a delicate bow or diamante clip to give this look a further fun feel!

Luxe glossy waves – you can never go wrong with waves, and they look even more perfect when paired with a luxe, glossy finish! When it comes to creating this look, hair care and prep is key, and I always like to firstly wash the hair with a shampoo and conditioner like the Caviar Anti-Aging Replenishing Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner to inject lots of moisture back into the hair to ensure it looks as smooth and shiny as possible. To prep the hair and provide heat protection, I then use the Caviar Anti-Aging Replenishing Moisture CC Cream, which gives the hair a flawless appearance. I then blow-dry the hair before going in with my heated styling irons to gently tousle the hair, working in small sections to create beautiful ‘s’ shaped waves. Once you have finished waving the hair, take a large tooth comb and gently brush through in sections to break up the waves and give them a soft, ‘undone’ appearance. Finish by misting the waves with Caviar Anti-Aging Smoothing Anti-Frizz Dry Oil Mist to give instant radiance and to get rid of any frizz and flyaways.

The 90s super model updo – in the last year this hairstyle has surged and been seen all over social media and on celebrities. Inspired by Pamela Anderson, the 90s super model updo is such a gorgeous, glamorous style that will instantly make your clients look chic and put together. When it comes to creating this look, I always like to start by misting through Caviar Anti-Aging Professional Styling Perfect Texture Spray to build volume and texture in the hair before creating the updo. This will also help to give the style hold. I then create a high ponytail at the back of the head, leaving out some sections of hair around the face to face frame before twisting the hair up towards the head, leaving out the end of the ponytail and pinning the twisted sections into place on the head. You can then bring the left out section back down beside your twisted section and play around with this, pinning into place to create your desired shape/messy bun. Finish by misting through a lightweight hairspray through the hair for added shine and hold. One of my favourites it the My Hair. My Canvas. City Slay Shielding Hairspray.
