Trevor, a Scottish-born stylist, was renowned for his innovative wedge cut and his charismatic TV appearances that made hairdressing accessible and exciting for millions.

Trevor passed away peacefully with his family and beloved dog by his side. Trevor’s journey, marked by unparalleled creativity and kindness, has left an indelible mark on the world of hairdressing and beyond.”

This cut was the first hairdressing picture to be published as a double-page spread in Vogue magazine, showcasing Trevor’s forward-thinking vision.
Another groundbreaking design was “The Scrunch” (1979), which further cemented his reputation as a trendsetter in the industry. Trevor’s ability to blend creativity with technical skill set new standards in hairdressing and inspired countless hairstylists around the world.
A company statement said: “Honouring Trevor’s wishes, there will be no funeral. In lieu of flowers, we invite you to support four charities: Marie Curie, Cancer Research UK, Rowans Hospice and My New Hair, all close to his heart. We also plan to celebrate his remarkable life and contributions with a special event next year and will share details in due course.”
His contributions to the field were recognized with numerous awards, including the coveted British Hairdresser of the Year title, which he won an unrivaled four times.
