Described as the “ultimate hairdressing finishing school,” Project X stands as a beacon of excellence for qualified hairdressers eager to finesse their craft, expand their creative horizons, and carve out a unique identity in the bustling industry of hairstyling².
In this article, we’ll dive into the heart of Project X, exploring how this prestigious program not only sharpens technical skills but also nurtures the individuality and creative flair that sets apart true artisans of hair. From mentoring by industry luminaries to hands-on workshops that push the boundaries of hair artistry, Project X is more than just a course – it’s a transformative journey.
It’s been a busy start to March for Project X with two team days taking place back-to-back, coming together to learn, create and experience something new.
Project X spent their first team day with the multi award winning colourist and stylist Ashleigh Hodges at her newly launched space, Mash Creative Studio, where the team worked with colour inspiration and creative wefts. Ashleigh has worked around the world on creative photoshoots, backstage on tv shows and educating and inspiring other creatives. Ashleigh is also Global Colour Ambassador for Davines & Director for Hairdotcom Art Team, as well as being the Fellowship forthcoming President.
The morning gave the team an insight into mood boards and finding inspiration to create trends. In the afternoon, the team got the opportunity to try different techniques on wefts, creating a number of different colourful looks.

Project X spent their second day with Chris Foster, the Profile Guy, at WIG London. Chris Foster’s mission is to empower hair professionals to elevate their influence, authority, and income in the hair industry.
The team were given insight into how to get industry by building your profile and how to stand out from the rest in the hairdressing world. They were taught that their profile should be much more than their portfolio. From emerging talents to seasoned professionals, the right profile can transform passion into influence, skills into recognition, and dreams into reality.
