Twisted Up Do

Twisted Up Do

  • Gather the hair into a loose ponytail at back of head, situated slightly above the nape of the neck.
  • This look is very textured and ‘undone’ and is a new modern take on the classic chignon. Firstly take sections around 3-5cm in width, focusing on one section at a time. Next, twist the section back into the hair and pin back into the hair, creating your desired pattern.
  • Once all sections are pinned, loosely pull some hair throughout the look to give it a much more natural feel.
  • To create the tousled feel, use a heated styling iron/curling tong for texture and volume.
  • To finish the look, lightly spray the hair with a professional texture spray.

Romantic Bun

Romantic Bun
  • Start by tonging the hair in 3-4cm sections, tonging from root to ends and tonging into the head. Continue this throughout the hair until every section is complete.
  • Next, create 3 ponytails at the nape of the neck. When creating the ponytail, carefully take the tonged sections, ensuring they remain tonged into the hair and secure using a hair band. Complete for all three ponytails.
  • Next, you want to create the structure of the look. Beginning with the centre ponytail, carefully twist this into itself, securing around the hair band.
  • Then, take your two side ponytails, and twist them into the main bun previously created – secure with bobby pins. Here is your chance to get creative and create your own desired formation.
  • Lightly pull two front sections from around the face, to give a much more natural feel.

90s inspired ‘fluffy blowout’

  • Again, preparation is key here in order to ensure the look remains voluminous and full of texture. I would advise washing the hair with a professional moisture shampoo and conditioner – this is key to ensure hair is hydrated and gives the real healthy appeal.
  • Next up – let’s blow-dry! It’s all in the blow dry. Use an extra large barrel brush and take large sections of the hair, focussing heat at the roots and blow dry to give a real curly, volumized feel. Blow dry the hair up and continue to curl around the brush. Once your section is complete, pin the hair until cool.
  • Once cool, remove the pins to unveil he desired ‘fluffy blowout’ look. Brush out the curls for softness.
  • Where required, use heated styling tong to give added ‘oomph’
  • To finish, lightly spray the hair using a professional shine spray to give the final touch of luxury.
